So you think you might have adult ADHD. Now what?

In the last few years, I’ve seen a huge influx of clients looking to explore a possible ADHD diagnosis. Perhaps you’ve been recently diagnosed by a health care provider, were diagnosed as a kid and continue to battle, or maybe you just suspect you might have it based on things you’ve seen on social media (valid!) If any of that sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

Firstly, I can help you understand and clarify your diagnosis.

Together, we will explore your unique cluster of symptoms, how its affected you across the life span, and how these symptoms may have been confused over the years with depression, addiction, anxiety or even garden variety laziness. The symptoms of ADHD are both broad and particular to the individual and I can help you better understand how it functions in your life. While I am not a prescribing doctor, I can help connect you with resources toward medication management that will work in tandem with talk therapy.

Next, we can start to identify hacks, habits and tricks to help you function better in your life.

Believe it or not, this step can be a lot of fun! Are you always losing your keys? No, I am not just going to remind you to always put them in the same place. Instead, we will systematically identify reoccurring problems in your life like these and troubleshoot together strategies that work for you. I can also offer you sorely needed accountability and structure as we fumble through this process.

Finally, we will talk about the emotional, social, physical and spiritual damage that comes from having a brain that doesn’t work like everyone else.

More than anything, this is how talk therapy can help you navigate the hidden challenges of ADHD. I am acutely aware of the shame and guilt that accompanies this difficult diagnosis. As such, I’ve developed proven strategies for cutting through the shame and improving your self esteem and confidence, in work, relationships and more. I will help you harness your powers and recover quickly when symptoms tear you down.

We are in this together. I can’t wait to hear from you.
